Call for Papers International Conference - “Documenting the Holocaust: Testimonies as Historical Evidence”The organizers invite submissions for an international conference devoted to Holocaust testimonies produced during the World War II and in the immediate postwar period. The Collection of Holocaust Survivors’ Testimonies held at the Jewish Historical Institute represents one of the earliest systematic efforts to locate and record survivors’ individual experience. It is, however, only one of many such collections. Over the years, various institutions have initiated projects to gather Holocaust survivors’ testimonies and memoirs, creating a rich yet methodologically complex body of sources.

New books under the EHRI-PL project!The Library of the Jewish Historical Institute has acquired a collection of Holocaust studies books in English and German as part of the EHRI-PL programme. The subjects tackled in the volumes cover a wide range of aspects of the history of the Holocaust. As a result of the acquisition, our library's holdings have been significantly enriched.

The archival inquiry was designed to fill the gaps in our knowledge of the early biography of Artur (Aron) Eisenbach, former director of the Jewish Historical Institute and a respected historian of nineteenth-century Jewry.
Collaboration within EHRI Continues!From 25 to 28 November 2025, representatives of the Center for Research on the Holocaust of Jews at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN) – Jakub Petelewicz and Dr. Agnieszka Haska – conducted a study visit to the Wiener Holocaust Library in London. Their meeting with partners from EHRI-UK marked another step in strengthening collaboration within the framework of the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI-ERIC).
Claims Conference European Workshop for Research, Education and Documentation in AmsterdamFrom 18 to 20 November 2025, the Claims Conference European Workshop for Research, Education and Documentation was held at the National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam. It was an intensive seminar for Holocaust educators and historians from 44 countries, aimed at sharing best practices and fighting Holocaust denial.
EHRI NCC Meeting in SouthamptonAt the beginning of November 2025, the EHRI National Coordinators Committee Meeting (NCC) was held at the University of Southampton. It opened with the annual lecture. The coordinators of each National Nod exchanged their experiences to date and their plans for the future, especially in terms of transnational projects and collaborations.
Conny Kristel Fellowship Programme 2025Facilitating international access to an unprecedented range of key archives and collections related to the Holocaust, as well as to expertise in archival studies and digital humanities, the EHRI-ERIC Conny Kristel Fellowship Programme supports research and documentation of the Holocaust.
Grant | EHRI-PLOn August 7, 2025, an agreement was signed concerning the allocation of a targeted grant in the amount of PLN 1,900,000.00 for the years 2025–2027 between the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute for The Implementation of the Ongoing Activities of the Polish National Node of EHRI-PL – a consortium of EHRI-ERIC carried out by the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute (JHI) for the years 2025–2027 in cooperation with national partners.
The inauguration of the EHRI-ERICDuring a ceremony at the Jewish Historical Institute and the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure – European Research Infrastructure Consortium (EHRI–ERIC) was inaugurated on January 26, 2025. The date of the inauguration is not coincidental – the following day, January 27, was the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.
Poland in European and Global Research InfrastructuresOn January 16–17, 2025, the conference “Poland in European and Global Research Infrastructures” was held at the Warsaw School of Economics. It was the first such large meeting of Polish representatives of research infrastructures included in the national and European research infrastructure map.
