The JHI Archive in the European Remembrance Network: Collaboration within EHRI
The Archive of the Jewish Historical Institute (JHI) actively participates in the EHRI project, whose aim is to integrate and provide access to dispersed sources relating to the Holocaust. As part of this work, the JHI staff process, digitize, and describe the Institute’s archival collections. They also share their expertise and knowledge.

Currently, the staff of the JHI Archive are preparing several thousand copies (typescripts) of testimonies from the unique Collection No. 301 – Collection of Holocaust Survivors’ Testimonies for digitization and wider access. As a result, even demanding handwritten manuscripts will be made available in a more legible and thus more accessible form. In this way, researchers who are not accustomed to working with handwritten sources will also be able to include these materials in their studies.
