International Conference “Documenting the Holocaust: Testimonies as Historical Evidence”

On 16–17 June 2026, the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw will host the international conference “Documenting the Holocaust: Testimonies as Historical Evidence.”
The conference is dedicated to Holocaust testimonies created during the Second World War and in its immediate aftermath. Its aim is to examine these testimonies as forms of historical evidence, with particular attention to their potential and limitations, the contexts in which they were created, and the ways they have been used in research, education, and commemoration.
The detailed programme will be announced soon.
We warmly invite you to participate and join us in a thoughtful discussion on the role of testimonies in documenting and understanding the Holocaust.
